CP CREATIVES x SECRETS PUERTO LOS CABOS GOLF & SPA RESORT
The CP Creatives team were once again on the West coast of Mexico at the beginning of June. This time shooting a lifestyle video along with some product photos for a hotel in Los Cabos. We had Henry and Alex on video and photo, Ian and Guy on production and Kelly on style.
Ian arrived ahead of the team to scout the beautiful hotel and add finishing touches to our shoot itinerary. The rest of us arrived and we got straight into our work with product shots of some junior suites and event spaces. Meanwhile Kelly was building base camp and working with the client to plan outfits for the lifestyle scenes.
It was a 5.00am start on day two as we shot a scene by the main pool of the hotel. The light was great for both drone shots and close-up lifestyle content of the models. It was a really nice setting for our first shoot with the models. In the evening they enjoyed a romantic dinner set up, looking over the sea. Again, we were blessed with wonderful conditions as the sun was setting. Henry and Alex enjoyed some impromptu shots of the models walking by a perfectly still infinity pool; these made for some beautiful photo and video. Throughout the day, we also captured some product shots of meeting spaces and ballrooms.
The next day we had plenty of product shoots to capture: some aerial shots of beach palaces, their ocean pool, a chefs table and two big garden receptions. The team were all very impressed by the scale and glamour of the receptions! We shot the models on the beach and then enjoying one of the hotel’s ocean-view bedrooms.
We were in the spa the next morning for some treatment shots, followed by some video of the models enjoying the hydrotherapy area. Henry and Alex enjoyed getting creative with the fine details of the treatment rooms and ensuring the set up looked great. Then we had the much-anticipated boat trip. We headed to the famous Arch of Cabo San Lucas and got some brilliant drone shots and from on board the boat too of the models enjoying the waves with a few drinks. The team didn’t forget to enjoy themselves a little bit too! Henry was our boat DJ and had no complaints. We watched the sun go down from the boat and cheers’ed to another good day of work.
On our last day we had a couple more lifestyle shoots to do: a lunch overlooking the ocean and some golf! The lunch scene was beautifully done, despite Henry and Alex having to film some of it from inside the surrounding water! And the golf was a great opportunity for Alex to practise his drone flying skills while trying to follow the ball off the tee…we are yet to see the results… We were also busy with product shots of the gym, restaurants and the sports bar.
That’s a wrap! The CP team really enjoyed this one and we had a delicious meal all together to celebrate our days together.
