CP CREATIVES x DREAMS CAP CANA
The CP Team returned to the Dominican Republic for a project with the Dreams brand, a brand we’ve enjoyed creating for. This trip had a special significance as we marked the opening of Dreams Cap Cana.
The project involved two main components: lifestyle and product, both involving photo and video. We like to run both elements in parallel, so while the product team worked through the shot list, the lifestyle crew focused on a family holiday experience, capturing a family creating dreams their way. It was really lovely to watch a group of people who had never met come together and form a warm family dynamic. Working with models that form a strong connection is enjoyable, especially when the kids are genuinely having fun. It means we can be lighter in direction, letting authentic moments shape themselves.
A favourite scene was breakfast room service, on a balcony at sunrise, overlooking calm ocean water. The models brought great energy as they enjoyed a stack of pancakes from the hotel’s culinary team.
The week also included time to connect and celebrate, both on and off camera, as we marked Alex’s 30th birthday. A thank you to the Dreams team on the ground for their support throughout the week and their thoughtful touches around Alex's birthday, especially the tres leches cake, was a highlight.
Looking back, a big takeaway from the week was the sense of togetherness. A group of people, most of whom hadn’t met before, came together to form connections both in front of and behind the camera. That feeling sat quietly at the centre of the experience.
